There is.... A time to be born, and a time to grow A time for questioning, and a time for certainty A time for deep anger, and a time to forgive deeply A time for mercy, and a time for judgment A time to receive, and a time to give A time to sow, and a time to reap A time for humility, and a time for power A time to resist the evil one, and a time not to resist evil people A time to die, and a time to resurrect Set as favorite Bookmark

Hey, what time is it right now?
This is one of my favorite passages in all of the Bible. It's so simple yet so profound. We must learn to live in the seasons that God has sovereignly placed us in. Wow is that hard sometimes. Hey John, email me your #, I need to talk with you. My new email is

I find it comforting to know that Jesus did each and every one of those things. I especially identified with questioning. So while He is the Son of God, maybe He and I are not so different in some ways. And maybe I can wait upon the times that are planned for me.

Some of these are hard though -- knowing that there's a season for all things doesn't always help me know which season I'm in at the moment

John.....
Eccl 3 was one of the first scripture passages I ever came across....it has been one of my favorite and one that I continuously fall back upon, time after time, trial after trial. I like your 'simplified' but straight forward, culturally relevant version/translation. 11 report abuse
