One of my favorite bloggers, Sally Coleman, nominated me for the Thinking Blogger Award. It cost me lots of money, but it was worth it. She said, "John is great at provoking in depth conversation about what it means to be a Christian in the 21st century--unafraid to challenge our sometimes set ways of thinking--he continually asks why we do certain things and what authentic Christianity is. Join John's conversations and be challenged!" This is part of the 5 Blogs That Make Me Think meme, so I get to nominate--you guessed it--5 blogs that make me think. It's difficult to narrow it down, so I'm going to list the first five that come to mind. 1. Rick Meigs I don't think Rick has ever written a blog post I didn't appreciate. He's a great thinker, always has great material, and has been a great support and blessing to me. Grace is consistently thought-provoking, challenging, and able to think intelligently--way out of the box. There is no other blogger that gets me stirred up so often. Sometimes it hurts a little--being stretched normally does, but I always appreciate it. Jamie is thoughtful, intelligent, and full of integrity. He also has written some of the most gutsy, transparent posts I've read. 4. Jon Trott Jon is kind of crazy--in a good way. He covers a wide range of subjects helpfully, and more often than not gets me thinking about important things I hadn't thought much about. Stay tuned for my forthcoming interview with Jon. 5. Bob Franquiz Bob's blog is quite a bit different in content from the above blogs. He's a one-of-a-kind Calvary Chapel pastor, who thinks and reads widely. He regularly gets me thinking. He also costs me money with his great book reviews. If you're one of the five that have been tagged, consider posting 5 blogs that make you think. If you do, leave a link here so others can read your five. Also, leave a link at the originating post. There are lots more blogs that I would have added if I could. If you weren't included in the above list, please leave links to 5 blogs that make you think in the comments below. Set as favorite Bookmark
